Wordle Music: a daily puzzle for your ears
If you like the rhythm of a daily word puzzle, try recognizing a recording instead. GuessSong’s daily music puzzle starts with a 0.1-second audio clue and gives you five chances to identify the track. Every player gets the same selection for the current UTC date. The player is ready above: press play, listen carefully, and search for the title you think you heard.
How to play the daily song puzzle
The first sound is only a tenth of a second. It may be a drum hit, a voice, a keyboard note or a moment that seems too short to name. You can replay the unlocked clip without spending an attempt. If it suggests an artist, type their name in the search field and look through the available titles. Select a result before submitting; text in the field is not a guess by itself.
A wrong answer or a skip uses one chance and unlocks the next preview length. The sequence is 0.1, 0.5, 2, 5 and 15 seconds. A correct title ends the round immediately. After five misses, the answer is revealed. Once the round has finished, you can hear the available longer preview and follow the music-service links beside the recording’s name.
Five attempts, with musical feedback
This is a listening puzzle, so the feedback is about the recording you selected rather than the letters inside a word. A correct answer, a wrong answer and a skip have distinct result markers. Each miss also gives you a practical new clue: more of the actual audio. It is worth comparing the voice, rhythm and production before deciding on your next guess.
Try to keep the sound in mind while you search. A title that feels familiar is not necessarily the recording playing, and artists can have several songs with similar openings. If the preview leaves you completely unsure, a skip can be more useful than choosing at random. Both use an attempt, but the skip lets you concentrate on what the longer fragment adds.
When today’s challenge changes
A fresh puzzle arrives at midnight UTC, which may be a different time from midnight where you live. The daily number identifies the current date’s challenge. This page stays in Daily mode, so opening it does not silently restore an Easy or Hard practice session. A stored daily session is resumed only when it belongs to the current UTC date.
The daily selection is stable for that date. If the selected preview cannot be loaded, the game reports an availability problem instead of substituting a different answer. Retry when the service recovers. Audio availability can depend on the provider, recording and region; a listening challenge needs a working preview and an internet connection, even though it does not need an account.
Share the result and keep listening
The result squares show how your attempts went without naming the answer in the copied result text. You can send the challenge to a friend, save the result image or use a social sharing option. Your personal listening statistics stay in this browser. Posting a score to the daily leaderboard is a separate choice, and the name you submit there becomes public with that entry.
Once today’s puzzle is finished, follow the link to the main 0.1-second game for more tracks. The practice mixes give each recording a new set of five attempts and let you choose different difficulty pools. You can also explore the K-pop, 90s, 2000s and Taylor Swift collections, or host a Spotify game with friends. GuessSong is an independent music game; the phrase Wordle Music describes the daily-puzzle format and does not imply an affiliation with Wordle or its publisher.
